The map below illustrates the village of Bunborough today and its projected layout for Autumn 2024.
Overall, the present-day Bunborough has fewer facilities compared to the situation in 2024. However, the route from Lynwich to Maychester remains unchanged in both instances.
Firstly, the current village of Bunborough features only one bridge that leads to residential areas. This bridge starts from Lynwich and, after crossing, ends directly at Maychester. Before terminating, the bridge veers to the right, providing access to various homes. At present, there are a total of six houses and numerous shops. Additionally, a fishing port is located near the shops, and there is a beach situated in the center-left of the village.
On the other hand, the proposed plans for Bunborough, expected to be completed in Autumn 2024, introduce several new features. Although the bridge route from Lynwich to Maychester remains the same, a new pathway will be constructed to the right of Lynwich. Furthermore, the number of houses will increase from six to seven, while the number of shops will stay the same. New amenities, such as a promenade and hotels, will also be added. Finally, a train station will be established to serve the residents of the village.
