The two maps depict the current layout of Bunborough village and its proposed development by Autumn 2024. Overall, significant changes are particularly in terms of transportation infrastructure and tourist facilities, making the village more accessible and attractive.
One of the most notable changes is the introduction of a new railway line, which will cross the existing road leading to the fishing port, facilitating transport between Lynwich and the village’s residential area. Currently, there is only one road providing access from Lynwich, but by 2024, an additional road will be constructed, connecting seamlessly with the existing network. Due to the construction of the railway, two houses near the road will be relocated to the opposite side.
At present, there are no accommodations available for tourists or travelers, but by 2024, two new hotels will be established near the beach and the fishing port, catering to an influx of visitors. Another striking change involves the transformation of the fishing port. While there are currently three quays, two will be removed and replaced by an extended promenade, leaving only one quay intact.
