Overall, Kimsville has become a more modern town, with new housing, transport and leisure facilities. However, this development has come at the expense of its green areas, while the factory has given way to a software company.

In the northwest of Kimsville, a green area has been replaced by new apartments, while the shopping centre and the trees in the northeast have remained unchanged. In the middle of the town, two new buildings have been built on either side of the city centre: a train station on the left and a software company on the right, where the old factory used to be.

There have also been some changes in the south. In the southwest, the trees have been cut down and a football stadium has been built, and just below the city centre, the old cinema has been replaced by a pub. However, the green area in the southeast has remained unchanged since 2002.
