The pie charts compare how much time adults spend participating in outdoor activities in the years 2010 and 2020.
As the first diagram displays, watching TV overtook the other hobbies in 2010, with the highest percentage. In 2020 however, highest rank for the most participated in hobby went to social media.
It is clear in 2010, watching tv was the most enjoyed activity to do, taking up 35% of adults time, coming in second was social media, with a figure of 25%. In 2020, these two activities switched places, where 35% of adults spent time on social media and 25% spent it watching tv.
Time spent on exercise was greater in 2010, taking up 19% of adults time and mitigating to becoming 15% in 2020. Reading suffered the biggest decrease, from taking up 20% of adults time in 2010 to only taking up 10% of their time in 2020.
