The given charts illustrate a comparison of shares of items that were traded virtually by retailers in Canada in two periods of time, 2005 and 2010.
What stands out from the diagrams is that electronics and appliances, and home furnishing were on a downward trend, while a reverse pattern could be seen in other categories.
In 2005, the number of vended electronics and appliances was the highest at 35% of the sales, whereas video games ranked last, accounting for 18%. As for the rest, home furnishing, as well as food and beverage, were demanded similarly, with 25% and 22%, respectively.
Shifting the focus to the second year, it is clear that clients tended to buy items such as Food and Beverage mostly. It increased significantly to 10%, whereas home furnishing decreased by the same amount. This circumstance was identical with the other items. The volume of trading in electronics and appliances went down to 5%, and a different situation was observed with video games, increasing to 23%.
