Overal, an upward tendency could be seen in Food & Beverage, and Video Games except Electronics & Appliance, and Home Furnishings. Noticeably, the most appealing sector was Electronic & Appliance over the year while Home Furnishings was the least popular in the year 2010.
To be more specific, in 2005, 35% was reported in the proportion of iterms buyed on the internet in the Electronics & Appliance, 17% higher than that of Video Games. Meanwhile, 22% and 25% of terms were traded virtually by online retailers in Food & Beverage and Home Furnishing, respectively.
When it comes to the changes in 2010, a slight decrease of 5% to 30% could be seen in the rate for merchandises traded on e-commerce in Electronics & Appliance. Additionally, the share of products sold by online retailer in Food & Beverage increased considerably by 10% to 32%, which surpassed the Electronics & Appliance so as to take the ranking first at the same time. In contrast, the corresponding rate in Home & Furnishing experienced an dramatic reduciton of 10% to 15%, which became the least online sectors after 5 years. Finally, the volume of goods buyed in Video game grew slightly to 23% on the time being.
