The pie chart shows the contribution of different sectors to the economy of Turkey in two different years, 2000 and 2016. This data is shown in percentage.
Overall, the contribution of agriculture, leisure and hospitality as well as government sectors witnessed a dip in the contribution. Meanwhile, health care and education remain constant in their contribution to the economy in two years. However, there was an increase in the contribution by all the other sectors in 2016 as against 2000.
To begin with, Agriculture had the highest contribution in 2000 amounting to 24 percent. But it fell to 14 percent in 2016. The highest increase happened in construction sector which rose from merely 3 percent in 2000 to 10 percent in 2016. The least increase happened in trade and transportation sector which is 16 percent from 14 percent in year 2016 and 2000 respectively. But finance and manufacture sector has seen an increase from 8 to 12 percent and 5 to 8 percent respectively.
