The graphs represent the households’ power consumption and the households’ emissions in the main categories of basic necessities of a family, which includes cooking, heating, lightning, refrigerating, appliances consuming energy, etc. By comparing both diagrams there is a possibility to analyze the balance between consumed energy and opted greenhouse gases.
According to the power consumption graph “heating and cooling”, “water heating”, “refrigeration”, “other appliances” are the most heavy categories, and they comprise the most of the energy consumed by a typical family. Other categories do not pass even the 10% threshold and could be considered negligent.
By contrast, the greenhouse gas produced presents slightly different picture, where the heating and cooling category becomes the main one and amasses only by itself the 38% share of overall greenhouse production, while the rest of categories stays either in the same percentage range as gas consumption and takes less portion in overall greenhouse gas production.
