These visuals deal with the information about the countries which organised space missions and their purposes in the period from 1957 to 2007.
Having considered the pie chart, let’s look at the number of spacecraft launched by national governments in the USA and Soviet Union/Russia. They made up the largest propotion of it, as USA launched 1760 spacecrafts and Soviet Union/Russia made it in the amount of 3484 units, that represented half of chart. Main reasons for their missions were communications and surveillance satellites. It is easy to see looking at the second chart. A significant majority of the launched spacecrafts made up by commercial government European Union. Meanwhile, Indian and Canada goverments represented a small percentage in this rating. Turning to the bar chart, it can be noticed that weather observation planetary exploration were the least common purposes for space missions and made up nearly 5 percent out of 100.
From the information in the two charts, it’s clear that most space missions were either done by USA and Soviet Union/Russia for cotmnunications or surveillance.
