The chart illustrates the portion of UK citizens consuming five or more portion of fruit and vegetables per day by gender in 2006.
Overall, it is clear that people aging from 55 to 64 ate the most. Meanwhile, female citizens ate more than their male counterparts in all age groups, except the group of 75, which has similar percentages.
In 2006, the male age groups of 19 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54 and 75 are all less than a quarter which are 15%, 20%, 22%, 22% and 25%, respectively. In the mean time, the rate of men in age group of 65 to 74 is slightly more than 27%, holding the second position of most men consumed vegetables and fruit. Finally, men aging from 55 to 64 hold the largest percentage which is nearly a third.
Oppositely, women used more healthy food than men. The biggest difference is belong to the age group of 45 to 54, which is about 5%. Other age groups have identical differences which are around 2% to 3%. The oldest group didn’t have any difference.
