Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that most social media platforms were used more frequently at night than during the day. Instagram recorded the highest level of night time usage, while WhatsApp was more popular during the day.
During the day, WhatsApp was the most commonly used application, with approximately 70% of users accessing it. The percentage of Linkedin was around 60%, making it the second most popular platform in daytime. By contrast, Snapchat and Instagram were less frequently used during the day, making up about 40% and 30% respectively. Meta X had the lowest daytime usage, with only around 20%.
At night, Instagram became the most popular platform, reaching nearly 90%. Snapchat and Whatsapp were also widely used, at approximately 70% and 75% respectively. In contrast, LinkedIn was used less frequently at night, making it the least used app with about 40%.
