The bar graph illustrates the time spent on different social media apps during the day and at night.
Overall, night-time usage was higher than daytime usage for most platforms. Instagram provided the highest figure at night, while Meta X had the lowest proportion.
First of all, WhatsApp was the most popular platform overall, with a total of 70%. This may be because WhatsApp is used by many people around the world for communication, work, and other purposes. LinkedIn ranked second and was slightly lower than WhatsApp, reaching 60%. The remaining social media platforms, such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Meta X, had the lowest proportions during the daytime and showed quite similar levels of usage.
On the other hand, the patterns at night were different. Instagram had the highest proportion and climbed to a surprising 90%, which was three times higher than its daytime usage. The usage of WhatsApp slightly fell to second place at 70%. Snapchat and Meta X showed similar trends, as their night-time percentages doubled. Surprisingly, LinkedIn was the only platform where daytime usage was higher than night-time usage.
