Generally, it can be seen that paper and cardboard had the highest percentage over the period. During that time, the opposite was true for the remaining materials, which had the lowest proportion, with plastic being one of the four.
At the start of the period, paper and cardboard were reused at about 65%, which was significantly higher than the rate of recycling glass containers, which was moderately decreased at 15% in 1982. From 1986 to 1990, the percentage of both declined approximately, with paper and cardboard at 65% and glass containers at 40%. In the remaining years of the period, paper and cardboard had a gradually decreasing trend from 80% to 70% between 1994 and 2010, while glass containers steadily increased to over 50% in the same years.
Turning to the remaining chart, the recycling of aluminum cans rose highly from 5% in 1986 to 45% in 2010. Plastic was reused at below 10% over the period.
