Thanks for your email! It sounds like you’re having a really busy Christmas season. In Vietnam, we do celebrate Christmas but not as widely or traditionally as in your country. Most people simply go out with friends, enjoy the decorations, or spend time with their families.
The biggest holiday here is definitely Tet, or Lunar New Year. It’s my favourite holiday because it’s the only time of the year when everyone comes home, cooks together, and visits relatives. Before Tet, we clean the house, buy new clothes, prepare special food, and decorate our homes with peach blossoms or apricot flowers. The atmosphere is always warm and exciting.
By the way, I’m curious about British holidays.
Which holiday is the most important in your country?
Do you have any special traditions for it?
Which one is your personal favourite and why?
Can’t wait to hear from you soon.
Lots of love,
Emma
