The lowest difference between films released and ticket sales was fantasy films, especially in 1996.
From 1996 to 2006, the percentages of drama films released and ticket sales increased; its release was at just above 25 percent in 1996 and 35 percent in 2006, and its tickets sold at just above 15 percent in 1996 and less than 20 percent in 2006. As the least difference between those categories, drama films reached 20 percent in releasing and selling all tickets in 1996. In 2006, the percentage of its release reached 25 percent and almost sold all of it.
While those genres had high percentages, fantasy and romance had low percentages in both categories. In 1996, the percentage of fantasy films released only reached less than 10 percent, and the tickets sold were less than 5 percent, but in 2006, the percentages of films released and ticket sales increased slightly higher than 15 percent and more than 5 percent. Romance films had the lowest average in percentages at only 5 percent. In 1996 and 2006, the percentages of films released were at the same level at more than 5 percent, and for the ticket sales, they decreased from 1996 at 5 percent and in 2006 at only much lower than 5 percent.
