The pie chart depicts what kind of transportations which are used in Edmonton, and the table depicts the reason why people who are living in Edmonton are using cars.
First, in Edmonton, it was 45%, 35%, 10%, and 10% in Car, LRT, Bus, and Taxi respectively. Most of the people who live in Edmonton used cars. Second, If you look at the reason for using a car, the highest percentage generated through commuting followed by business and the gap between them was 10% ,which shows that most of the people who live in Edmonton use cars due to commuting. Except for commuting and business, the highest percentage generated through taking children to school followed by Shopping and Leisure activities and the gap between them was 25%.
It can be concluded that most of the people who live in Edmonton use a car, and most percentages that the reasons for using a car is “commute to work”. It can be expected in the future that the percentage of commuting will increase if the percentage of cars increases.
