Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the train no. 1234 going from London to Exeter on Monday, August 31, originally scheduled to depart at 8.23 AM. I am also writing to formally complain about the overall conduct of your employees.
When I arrived at the platform, the train had a 45-minute delay. Despite assurances given by your staff that the train would arrive within the stated timeframe, the delay was first increased to 90 minutes and, finally, the train was cancelled.
What I also found considerably disappointing was the lack of professionalism displayed by your staff. The employees I interacted with were unhelpful, reluctant to offer any assistance, and dismissive of my concerns, causing considerable inconvenience and discomfort. This service fell far short of the standards I had expected.
This event had a detrimental effect on my job. The primary purpose of my trip was a crucial meeting with a prospect based in Exeter. As a result of the cancellation, I was unable to show up on time, missing an important opportunity for my business.
In light of the above, I request a full refund. Should this matter not be resolved to my satisfaction, I have no other choice but to share my negative experience on public online review platforms and take legal action.
Furthermore, I would strongly recommend that you implement a comprehensive training program for its staff, focusing on customer-service protocols, to prevent future travellers from enduring similar unsatisfactory experiences.
