I hope this message finds you well. My name is Janista Krongboon (PunPun), and I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. I am currently applying for the Master’s in Pharmacology program at the University of Alberta and would like to inquire about the possibility of joining your research group as a graduate student.
During my undergraduate studies, I conducted research on the removal of paraquat from water by adsorption. My project focused on developing and testing adsorbent materials to effectively reduce paraquat contamination in an aqueous solution, which leads to Parkinson’s disease. This work has deepened my interest in environmental toxicology and pharmacology, particularly in how we can mitigate the harmful effects of chemical pollutants on human health.
I am very interested in your research on chronic pain involved with the brain and emotion and also neurosciences. I believe my background in chemistry, combined with my experience in laboratory experiments, adsorption processes, and water treatment, would allow me to contribute to your ongoing research efforts.
