The line graph illustrates the changes in the proportion of households with cars across three different categories in one European nation over the years 1983 and 2003.

In general, it is noticeable that different trends were observed in all the given periods. While, ‘no car’ was the most common among all the given trends at the beginning of the year it lost dominance in 2001 in the given country, by similar, the least percentage of households had ‘two cars’ for the whole periods.

At the beginning of the period, ‘no car’ stood at nearly 50%, in the next years, it gradually declined by 30% in the year 2011 in one European nation. The second most popular group, ‘one car’ reached approximately 35% in 1971, which after it significantly fell by nearly 20% in 1991. In the next 10 years, this trend dramatically rose to around 43% by the end of the period. While ‘one car’ changed to a peak level of households with car.

The least proportion of households was owner ‘two cars’ in all the given year, starting at about 18 and ending at 30% in one European nation.
