Dear Luis,

I am writing this letter to request your permission to participate in ‘food from around the world’ event. I am encouraged to share my country’s famous cuisine with all other college students. I would also like to elaborate that I have exceptional culinary skills and can cook for upto 200 individuals.

It would be a great opportunity for me to showcase cooking process of my favourite dish in front of others. The dish that I am planning to make is usually made with boiled potatoes that are wrapped in tortillas which are then deep fried for 15 minutes. It is known by the name of ‘Samosa’ and usually served with tomatoes ketchup to enhance its flavours.

This recipe has taken over all around the world and it is deeply loved by my country people. Moreover, it is easy to make and it will encourage others to prepare this recipe at home and share it with their loved ones.

I hope you will grant me an opportunity to showcase my skills and represent my country.
