Dear Luis,
I hope this message finds you well. I would like to offer to contribute a Nigerian dish to the upcoming international food celebration.
The dish I would love to prepare is Jollof Rice, one of the most popular and beloved meals in Nigeria and West Africa. It is a one-pot dish made with long-grain rice, tomatoes puree, onions, bell peppers, and a blend of spices, often served with fried plantains and grilled chicken or fish with a bottle of chilled drink or water. Its vibrant colour and rich, smoky flavour makes it a favorite at any gathering.
That is why I strongly believe Jollof Rice should be included in the event because of what it represents. Jollof Rice represents the heart of Nigerian cuisine and is often a debate and conversation starter due to its cultural significance and regional variations. It would be a great way to showcase West African food and offer attendees a truly tasty flavorful experience.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Esther.
