Dear Alex,

I’m writing to invite you to a farewell party for our colleague, Daniel. He is leaving because he has accepted an exciting job in Canada. Daniel has supported us, shared laughs, and made our workplace happier, so we want to celebrate everything he has done.

The party will be held at Riverside Café on Saturday, 15 August, at 6 p.m. Please bring a dish to share and one favourite memory about Daniel. You may also bring a gift if you wish. I really hope you can come and help us give Daniel a wonderful goodbye!
