Dear Ahmed,

I hope this letter find you in good spirits. I’m writing to express my appreciate and to thank you for inviting me to spend the weakend at your new house. I was really excited when I received your invitation because it means a lot to me that you thought of me.

Unfortunately, I have to attend an important work meeting that I can’t miss. Last week, we experienced an unexpected system shutdown, which caused several technical problems and put a great deal of pressure on both my team and me. The meeting is about planning the repairs schedule and my presence is essential.

Hopefully, I’d love to visit you next weekend if that work for you; we could have barbecue, watch a movie, and explore your city. I can’t wait to see your new house and spend some quality time together.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Take care,

Mohamed Lamine
