Band 7+: You recently accidentally damaged a section of the road in front of your house while carrying heavy furniture. You are writing a letter to the local council. In your letter: Apologize for the damage caused Explain how the damage happened Suggest ways to repair the road and prevent further problems

Note: Both the topic and the answer were created by one of our users.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apologize for the damage caused to the road in front of my house. Yesterday, while moving heavy furniture, I accidentally struck the surface of the road, which was nicely surfaced a few years ago. As a result, it is full of potholes and pose a serious safety hazard for residents and drivers who may lose control when driving.

I deeply sorry for my actions and understand that, if not addressed promptly they could lead to frequent accidents. I am willing to contribute to the repair work and would like to request urgent maintenance such as repairing potholes, sealing the cracks, and carrying out thorough resurfacing to prevent further deterioration. I hope that, with proper supervision and if the council allocates sufficient budget for repairs, the road will be restored to a safe condition as soon as possible.

Once again, I apologize for inconvenience caused and look forward to receiving your reply.

Yours faithfully,

Nguyen Thanh Phuoc
