Dear diana,
How are you doing? How are classes going? I hope your last semester results came out brilliant. I am writing this letter to apologise for misplacing the biology textbook you recently gave me.
I was very excited you agreed to lend the book to me so i took it to my cousin’s apartment. I left it on the dinning table and we stepped out to grab lunch at chicken republic. The restaurant was so close to my house, so after eating i decided to go home. The textbook escaped my memory for two days, and when i eventually recalled, i took a straight bus back to my cousin house. On reaching there, we searched every part of the house but the book was nowhere to be found.
I am truly sorry and completely regret this unfortunate incident. Kindly send me the amount it costs to purchase the book and your bank details for reimbursements. I also wish to send you my red hair scarf that you admire so much to compensate for the loss.
I miss you so much and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Love,
Emmie.
