Hi Lakshay,

Hope you are doing well. I am writing in response to your letter in which you asked my advice about whether you should go to college or try to get a job.

I would suggest to get a job for now. You have just finished your bachelor’s degree. Joining a college for your master’s would not be enjoyable or productive for you as most people you would find in your class would have experience of at least 3 years. So, you might feel underconfident and not get the most out of the degree.

Getting a job is a better option because this will give you real world experince and help you understand how organizations are structured. This will also help you develop soft skills. I suggest you look for jobs within the finance sector as I know that is where your interest lies. I would suggest looking into commercial banking and corporate banking as they can act as good entry points for finance industry.

I hope you will find my advice helpful.

Regards,

Suvansh Mahajan
