Overall, it is evident that the percentage of people who read the news by Internet experienced an upward trend, while the amount of people who received the news by other three source of press experienced a downward trend throughout the period. Although the people who followed the news by Internet was the lowest, but it became the second highest figure in 2017.
In 2013, the portion of individuals who viewed news content by TV were about 80% and being the highest than other all figures, while the figure for newspapers stood at approximately 43%. The figure for radio and internet were almost the same with around 30%. In 2015, the figure for Internet increased considerably to around 40%, whereas there was a gradual decline to about 65% in the percentage of citizens who engaging with news by TV. The figure for newspapers and Radio stood at the same place, with about 30%.
By 2017, the segment of society who accessed the news by Internet rose significantly to 70%, whereas there was a minimal increase to under 70%. While, the figure for newspapers reduced moderately to above 20%, the amount of people who kept up with the news by radio leveled out at 30%
