The pie chart and the bar chart provide data about the locations and variety of dance classes among adolescents and children in a particular town in Australia are currently attending.
1Overall, observing the pie chart, it is noticeable that private studios include almost half of all attending locations. Looking on the bar chart, the biggest number of children under 11 is centered in ballet classes, while teenagers tend to engage in modern dancing.
Location of dance classes includes 4 options: Private studios, Community halls and other, School halls and College-based studios. Private studios have the biggest dominance among the others whilst school halls contain just under a quarter percentage. There are also 18% of Community halls and other, and the smallest amount is College-based schools – 10%.
As for types of dance classes, we discriminate ballet, tap, and modern dance ways. For children under 11 who are interested in dancing, the number of dancers increases in the sequence from modern dance to ballet, consistently. In addition, the number of kids who engage in ballet peaks among the other types to approximately 600 kids. Teenagers are more interested in modern dance around – 510 people, and less interested in ballet around – 300 people. In conclusion, we also see that number of kids and teenagers stays approximately equal in the top dance category.
