The line graph given illustrates the consumption patterns of fast food among Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000 Units are measured in the number of each consumed per year.
Overall, it can clearly be seen that consumption of all fast foods rose throughout the given period, with the exception of fish and chips. Moreover, hamburgers were the most consumed food over the years.
Initially, in terms of fast food with the highest consumption, fish and chips stood at precisely 100. This figure then witnessed a moderate decline to around 85 in 1980 before rising slightly by about 10 in the 5 following years. From this point onwards, it fell gradually and hit a trough at just below 40 at the end of the period.
Regarding the other two types of fast food with lower levels, the consumption of hamburgers and pizza started at around 10 and 15, respectively. The consumption of pizza then skyrocketed and reached a peak of its popularity at just above 80 in 1995. Similarly, the consumption of hamburgers increased gradually and peaked at exactly 100 in the same year. Thereafter, both of them remained stable until the end of the period.
