To begin with, India’s line started with 4% population in the year 1980, in the next few decades the proportion was quite similar. However, from 2020, the percentage of population above 65 years slightly increased. In addition, it is also predicted that in the upcoming decades the line will cross 12% with it. Next, China China somehow followed India’s line as well. In 1980, the percentage was 5% and started increasing in the next decades. From 2010, the nation experienced a significant increase. Moreover, it can be guessed that by 2050, the percentage level will be at 25%. Consequently, Japan also experienced similar changes like India and China. From 12% percentage to 22% predicted in 2050, as the proportion gradually increased. Lastly, United States predicts the highest percentage of population over the age 65, as it seen some extraordinary changes in order of population from the year 1980. Now US predicts to have 35% population over the given age in the year 2050.
In summary, asian countries like India, China and Japan experienced a slight increase over the decades and predicts less population growth than United States.
