Overall, it can be seen for both male and female the illiteracy rate in south Africa is higher than any other countries that is below than 60% and more than 30% respectively. Comparatively, developed countries has significant low rates in illiteracy for male and female ( 0% to slightly above 0%).

Compared to males illiteracy rate females illiteracy percentage is visibly low for each countries, however among all countries the Arab States and east Asia/ Oceania has most difference that the illiteracy rate for female is slightly above 50% compare to males illiteracy rate. On the other hand, there is no big difference between men and women in terms of illiteracy rate in both developed countries and Latin American/ Caribbean.

The men in each countries are less illiterate compared to women and South Asian mens are most educated compared to any other regions that is above 60%. Similarly, Arab States has less uneducated men compared to female ( slightly under 30% and slightly over 50%.
