The line graph illustrates the main reasons people gave for moving to the countryside.

The first main reasons for moving are employment and education. Both graphs show a slight rise from 2000 to 2005. By the year 2008, 85,000 people left the city due to employment, followed by 80,000 in 2010. 85,000 left in 2015, so it actually went down in those last five years. Also, the same number of people moved due to study.

It was different for the other two reasons such as family and adventure, which both started a lot lower than employment and education, and both kept rising between 2005 and 2010. Subsequently, both categories saw two increases, with family first going up a lot between 2000 and 2010 and then gradually rising after that. Adventure steadily grew up from 2000 to 2015.

Overall, the graph suggests the number of people relocating to the countryside rose across the period. Employment was the main reason for relocation by some distance, despite a fall in numbers. Study was also the main reason which steadily grew up. Family and adventure overall increased but very slightly.
