The illustration is a depiction of the phases and the apparatatus involved in the production of newspaper and how it is recycled.
The production of newspaper paper involves seven stages along with three additional stages of recycling paper. It is a cyclical procedure, beginning with the felling of trees and culminates in the printing of newspapers. Recycling paper is a simpler procedure which involves transforming newpapers into pulp, so that it may be repurposed for the production of paper.
Firstly, the procedure begins with chopping down trees which then passes along a drum to remove the bark. Once the bark is removed, the wood passes along a chipper and the wood chippings are processed into a pulp through a refiner before it is pressed and rolled into rolling paper. Now that the paper has been produced, content is printed on it to finalise it into a readable newspapers.
Recycling newspapers involves lesser steps, involving the collection of old newspapers and removing the ink. Then, the newspapers are reconverted into a pulp which may be pressed into rolling paper again.
