The bar chart illustrates the number of employments by seven different job types categorised into gender for Australia, Last year. The number of employments is demonstrated in terms of thousands.
Overall, there is more male’s than female’s who are employed in Australia. There is a higher number of male’s employees for male’s as Managers, Semi- professionals, Tradespeople, Production and Labourers, while only more female’s employees outrun the male’s in professionals and clerical.
The employments for Male’s and Female’s had a greater proportion of differences as Tradespeople at 900 thousands for male’s and only 100 thousands for female’s. The female’s had a higher employment in two fields, however it was fairly similar. For clerical, the female reached 980 thousands and the male was 880 thousands.
The male rate of employments remained above 500 thousands for all jobs while only lesser male’s work as labourers. There was only 400 thousands employment for male’s but it still exceeded the number of employments of female’s at 280 thousands.
In conclusion, there is more jobs opportunities given to male’s compared to men’s in Australia. There is also more competition between male’s and female’s for professional and clerical jobs.
