The diagram illustrates the process by which electricity is produced from coal. Overall, there are three main stages starting with coal being mined and delivered to a power station, where it is gasified. After that, the gas is cooled and cleaned before electricity is generated. Finally, generated electricity is ready for consumption.
In the first stage, the coal is mined and it undergoes a crushing process to break into small pieces. Once crushed, the coal is delivered to a power plant, where it is gasified. Thus, the first stage is completed.
In the second stage, gas is sent to another power station for cooling and waste heat is released. After which, it is delivered to another power station for cleaning process. Once the gas has been cleaned, it is taken to gas power plant to manufacture electricity. As a result the second stage is finished. In the final stage, generated electricity is ready for consumption and delivery.
