The given line graph compares the percentage of funds which were spent on television, newspapers, magazines, radio, and internet in France from 2010 and projected spending by 2040. Overall, while four traditional types of advertising are facing decline in funding, the level of investments in Internet is expected to grow significantly until the end of presented period.
As illustrated in the graph, from 2010 to 2020 the total rate of money spending on TV raised from 35% to 45%, which made it the trendiest type of advertisement in France. However, after 2020 financial support for the television has fallen significantly and it is expected return to the starting level. Statistics shows quite similar dynamic for the newspaper industry: started with 35% in 2010 to the projected 10% in 2024.
On top of that, magazines and radio gained less than 15% of money in 2010. After decreasing of their popularity, a drop in funding to 5% is also expected by 2040. At the same period, internet showed roaring tendency from less than 5% in 2010 to more than 15% in 2020, expecting 45% in 2014.
