the bar chart illustrates the proportion of total world inhabitants in 4 countries namely – India, China, the USA and Japan – from 1950 to 2002 with forecasts for 2050.

overall, it is clear that there is a downward trend among all countries. China was was country with highest percentage of inhabitants in 1950 and 2002, whereas the reverse was true for Japan. in addition, China will experience the most significsnt drop in 2050, while India will see the highest increase in 2050. the USA will stay stable in 2050.

looking at the details, China had the highest proportion of citizens in 1950 with approximately 23%, but it noticeably decreased to 20% in 2002. and it is expected to fall to 15% at the end of timeframe. similarly, India started with 15% and it incled slightly to roughly 16% in 2002 anf it is forecasted to increase to around 18% in 2050.

turning to the USA, it is country with the smallest percentage of citizens. it began with about 7% and it fell slightly to 5% and it is estimated to stay stable in 2050. in addition, japan had and will have lowest proportion of dwellers. it showed approximately 4% in the firts year of the timeframe and it went down to a mere 3% and it is expected to noticeably fell to about 1 %
