The diagram presents the life-cycle of a frog.
Overall, this is a cyclic process which consists of eight steps which are: mating, eggs, three stages of tadpole, froglet, young frog and adult frog.
To start with, male frog and female frog mate together and then the female frog lays eggs which are known as frogspawn. After seven or eight days the eggs hatch and a tiny tadpole is formed whose food is algae. Following that after six weeks it develops fins also increase in size can be observed and after next nine weeks the tadpole forms hands and legs.
Subsequently, the tadpole then transforms to a froglet in about 12 weeks which can now begin pulmonary breathing. Thereby, the froglet is converted to a young frog which is now almost developed. Finally, the young frog then turns to an adult frog after four years of maturing. Then again the adult frogs mate. Thus, the cycle is continuously repeated.
