In 1995, walking was the most popular physical activity with more than 40% of people chose it. Following by snooker, which was the second largest percentage, was chosen by 30% of people. In the exact same year, only around 18% was interested in playing golf.
In 2005, around 43% of surveyed people picked walking, and the proportion increased approximately 2% compared to 1995. The second most popular sports were swimming and rugby with around 23% each. Golf was still the sport that people were least interested in. In addition, compared to 1995, the percentage of people who preferred playing golf dropped around 3%, with only 16% of people interested in golf.
