The provided three maps depict how Meadowside village and the Fonton town have transitioned since 1962 to the present day, including 1985.
Overall, it is obvious that both areas have witnessed significant urbanization. Notably, the most striking alterations have taken place in the transportation system and the expansion in size.
In 1962, the Meadowside and Fonton were sparsely developed. The village had two roads, to the west and north-east directions, whilst the one railway was crossing the town.
By 1985, significant developments had taken place. Firstly, the new roads had been constructed connecting the Fonton with Meadowside. New residential areas had been erected on the west-south part of the village, such as a housing estate and a leisure complex north of the road and a super-store on the opposite. Moreover, both areas had enlarged.
At the present, Meadowside village have become a suburb area, by connecting with the Fonton town via expansion of the territory. Between them new facilities, like hotel and station northward and a business park on the south, have been introduced. Regarding the residential buildings in the suburb area, they remained exactly the same. Finally, new train way was constructed near the road in Fonton.
