Dear A,Firstly, I would like to really appreciate your invitation to your wedding. I have known you and Emily for more than two years and I am genuinely happy to see you getting married to each other. But, I am afraid I will not be able to attend the marriage ceremony as I have a conflicting medical appointment in Charlestown, two-hour drive from my place during the same day.I wish I could reschedule the appointment but I have been suffering from excruciating pain in my shoulder for the last three weeks and this is the earliest slot that was available with Dr. Kauffman who is world renowned for recovery of shoulder injuries. I would like to get treated for my pain and take necessary medications to alleviate the discomfort.
I was thrilled to bits when you had first told me about your plans of proposing Emily and I was excited to plan a fun surprise dance during the wedding. I know I will be missing out on a lot of fun and frolic with our old college gang. I am quite aware that you wanted me to prepare a speech during your important day as well but I am sorry I will not be available for that.
However, I plan to make it up to you by taking you out for a golf day in the Beverly Hills Golf Course. I am planning to invite a couple of friends to swing some shots and then later enjoy pizza and drinks. We might plan to watch the latest Marvel movie at the Marcus Theatres. In the meantime, please accept this bouquet of flowers and a wall piece as my advance wedding gift. Please do share photos and videos from the event. Congratulations in advance!Regards,J
