I recently discovered that our company is offering a Field Project Management course, and I am writing to you to request access to the learning material. It is a 21-hour asynchronous online training module and can be reached at our “online university” at any time. This program includes key aspects and tips for a variety of industries, with a few chapters covering the railway industry.
Looking at the course summary, I can tell that the skills that can be obtained during training can be beneficial in my role. In addition to that, it will increase my productivity and make me more flexible if there is a need to reduce the workload on one of our PMs. Going to the field can be a quite time-consuming task. With the help of this course, it will reduce project expenses, which can make our company more attractive from our clients’ perspective.
For the reasons mentioned above, I would like to request 21 hours to be assigned to my timecard as an “approved training” task. I will go through the course material within the next 4 to 6 weeks. This will not impact the rate of completion for the tasks that were already assigned to me prior to this email. Please let me know if you have any questions.
