Dear Ramesh,

I hope this email finds you well. I am having mixed emotions right now. I got your email that you are retiring at the end of week. I am so happy for you and it would be a pleasure for me to attend your farewell party.

Sadly,i will not be able to join this amazing moment because my sister is getting married this weekend and all the responsibilities are on me. Also i took a four-day leave from my work. You know there is alot of work to be done for marriage. As my uncle’s health is not well he is a diabetic patient therefore,i have to look all the basic and important things for marriage.

But i will always remember the golden time that I spent with you on work. You worked really hard for this company. You will be always remembered as backbone of the team, who always helps and motivates other colleagues at work.

I hope you understand. Best wishes for you.
