I am writing this letter to let you know, that the new year in my country is like a festival. When the new year is near people set up their resolutions, and new goals for life. For example, quitting smoking, helping others, and becoming a doctor. As a festival, it is an important time for family gatherings to celebrate joy together.

people have different ways of enjoying the new year. Mostly, all homes are decorated with lights and flowers. Some arrange firecracker shows at midnight. Markets are full of sweets of sweets, and crowded. People give gifts and sweets to each other. Also, people love to visit religious places and do “pooja” at home, offering food to poor people.

I like New Year in many ways. Firstly, this time my whole family is together, otherwise everyone is busy with their work.
