Dear Sir/Ma

I recently saw an advert for the position of a volunteer staff in your prestigious hospital. I am writing this letter to express my intention to work for free in your organization.

I have always had a passion for caring for others especially sick people, working for free at the hospital would help me achieve this. Also, I am currently in my final year in school and about rounding off my studies as a nurse. It is a prerequisite for me to have a one month work experience as a volunteer staff in a hospital.

I can work in any department in the hospital given my knowledge and previous experiences on clinical duties. However, I would like to focus on caring for sick children, as pediatrics is my clinical elective course and it is an important part of my school work. I can assess babies vitals, feed them and also administer their medications with supervision.

Due to my school work load, I would be available to work in the hospital on weekends, precisely Fridays and Saturdays. I can also cover night shifts on Wednesdays as it is my free day in school.

I kindly hope that you will consider me for this position. I would be looking forward to getting a positive response from your organization and I am excited to join the health team. Thank you.
