Dear Mr and Mrs Datta,
I hope you are doing great. I am writing this in response to your complaint letter that you sent me yesterday about the noise from my house, which was actually due to my birthday party.
Normally, we would hold parties inside, but since our water pump broke, we needed to go to a repair shop right away. Thus we had to relocate to the garden because of the last-minute plumbing problem. As you are aware, we have only recently moved in, and our backyard still needs a lot of work with the landscaping, hence causing the noise.
I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please accept this box of chocolate as a token of my deepest apology. We’ll be more cautious next time.
Yours sincerely,
