Over the years, it becomes the habit of the photographers to take pictures of famous celebrities wherever they go. At first, they used to take pictures at the main events or occasions but nowadays, they started to follow them everywhere, in gyms, restaurants, shopping malls etc. and take their photos. Some people believe that it is a good thing while other says that it is not a good thing to follow famous people. In this essay, I am going to discuss both views and give my own opinion.
The first class of people believe that it is a good thing for professional photographers to photograph well-known people. According to them, celebrities are public properties. They have a right to know about their every moment. What they are eating, what they are doing, what they are wearing, public wants to know about everything more frequently. These people have millions of followers who follow them religiously. They follow what they wear, what they eat, their hairstyle, in short each and everything. By their pictures, people are more aware about their daily activities. That’s why some people believe that celebrities should be photograph more frequently. This makes them feel connected with those well-known people.
The other class of people argue that it is wrong for photographers to follow famous people. They believe that these people have their personal lives apart from their glamorous lives. They also want to spend time with their friends and families. They also want time where cameras are not on their faces and they can enjoy as much as they want. They also need privacy. Sometimes, they don’t want to be photographed still paparazzi’s follow them everywhere and record their every moment without asking them which is ethically and morally incorrect.
In my opinion, photographers can take pictures of famous celebrities with their permission especially when they are with their families. They should respect their privacy.
