Some people suppose that the control of children activities is primary, while others argued that children should have more freedom and independence. This essay discusses both views, however I think that parents should find the compromises with children.
On the one hand, some parents tend to restrict their children in the choice of activities, because they want to direct children to the best way of their development. That mostly because the child can not recognise at all what he wants as a lack of life experience, while parents just want to help them in such way. For example, parents can provide the broad development with help of additional education like music school or different sports activities. So, instead of the useless watching TV or playing games, the child can improve their skills and become more successful in such activities in adult age.
On the other hand, children should have more freedom, because they can choose what they want without parents’ control. Restrictions like the requirement to go in the music school instead of dance classes can lead to the declining of children’ desire to develop in that activity and misunderstanding between child and parents. In addition, it even can make worse children’ mood and mental health, or self-worth, which base on the possibility to be independent. In my opinion, parents should try to direct their children, however they have not to ignore their desires and tend to find the compromises.
To sum up, parents tend to help their children to control their activities, but it can lead to the problems such as misunderstanding and the low self-confidence. In my view, there is required the gold middle between restrictions and freedom of children.
