Nowadays, some claim that children should be monitored carefully by their parents, whereas others think that parents should give them more freedom because they will learn from mistakes. I believe that both sides are important, and it is crucial to maintain balance between supervising and giving some freedom to young generation.
On the one hand, it is argued that parents should manage their children closely because of several aspects. When children try to make difficult decisions, such as entering the which kind of university and finding their interests, parents should help them to find fairly way for this decisions. Moreover, young people tend to be more interested in variety activities that affect their behavior harmfully instead of doing their homework. In that situation, they need some limits set by parents when they keen on doing these activities. As a result, parents will protect their children from negative mental and physical changes.
On the other hand, others claim that if children do not have some freedom to make their own decision, they will become people relying on others opinions. Children should be independent in building their future life themselves with some parental advice rather than strict permission. It is important that their interests match their profession, mainly because of they might work this job long term. Thus, children should find their career life with depending on their own ability and preferences, in order to being professional in that field.
I, however, believe that we can find a balance between the two viewpoints instead of using the single one. If parents make fair use of both perspectives, children will definitely become physiological and mentally developed people. There should be supervision for children in doing what kind of content or activities they often follow, because they may get involved in harmful actions, perhaps in criminal activities. but it comes to making decision on engaging in what kind of sports or with subjects, children should find their own way with some parents advise.
In conclusion, with considering the both sides views, I still believe that the best way is to find a balance between giving freedom and supervising children. To do this, parents can help protect children’s future and build their career.
