It is imperative for an individual to take risks in different fields of their life, including professional, as well as, personal aspects. In my own perspective, although it can lead to positive outcomes, negative sides should also have to be considered.
On the one hand, people who are brave enough to take risks, can achieve greater results than those who cannot. By taking risky decisions, people can leave their comfort zone which appears to be challenging in most cases. For instance, if ones’ job satisfaction is not in high level, instead of getting stuck behind the desk it would be beneficial to change their workplace. Furthermore, regarding to personal matters it is likely to be the same. If you acknowledge that, you have to change something in your life that is burdensome or makes you stressful, then you better take risks. Hence, taking logical risks can lead to several positive outcomes such as career advancement, mental health improvement and so on.
On the other hand, not every taken risk results in positive changes in human beings’ lives. It is not a secret that, risk assessment is the most important phase of the decision-making process. As a matter of fact, some people are not capable of evaluating all the aspects of taking risky decisions. Consequently, not considering all the risks can exacerbate their current situation. Thus, although we need to be brave in taking risks related to important steps of our life, we still should be aware of our personal weaknesses.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that taking risks in order to leave comfort zone and enhance ones’ standard of living is crucial. However, personal characteristics and features have to be considered while taking vital decisions.
